What’s the festive season without something shiny?!

I’m an insane sucker for dressing up for the festive season. Hence my Christmas Classics Stories Sales @thecosmospolite last week with these amazing blue starry night sandals from Celine, A crips white ruffled Valentino shirt, Red/Green checkered Cacharel Skirt and more fancy festive stuff (There are still a few items available)

If you too are into occasion dressing, here are 10 items for the festive days that spark.

Ps. Scrolling all the way down will be rewarded with 5 amazing powerhouse dresses.

The Sustainable Shopping List - Glittery Festive Items

Something ethical gold, something organic for the skin and something insanely sexy. This list has all the sparks you need this season.

Good to know: the titles & orange texts are clickable (shoppable) links. Some of which contain an affiliate link.

1 — Bioglitz Body Glitter €10

Biodegradable face glitter

Keep microplastics out of the drinking water and shine responsible with glitter made from pulp fibers of eucalyptus trees. Have seen it in Amsterdam at the Fashion for Good museum shop. Online available in Europe here.

2 — Swedish Stockings Glitter Sock €17,95

Post consumer waste hoisery

Pair your loafers with glittery socks and basically you’ve got yourself covered. Perfect if you like to keep the glitter and budget modest this season.

3 — Bodgar Sheer Glitter Skirt €150 (now in sale)

Sustainable party wear

Anything Bodgar works. They have velvet, sheer, silver patent leather, sequins. I would opt for this versatile sheer Y2K glitter skirt. Pair her with opaque tights to a family dinner, shorts or big underwear to the club and your swimwear for next summers’ festival season.

4 — Bodgar Sequin Suit €220 for the jacket + €168 for the pants (now in sale)

Sustainable party wear

And this pant suit available in red of black sequins is the absolute the winner. It might look over the top, but isn’t that what’s Christmas dressing is all about?! And you don’t always have to wear her as a suit. Tone it down by pairing the flared sequin pants with a wool jumper or the sequin jacket with denim and a white t-shirt. Belief me, this outfit will be in your wardrobe forever!

5 — Adorn Golden Stud Earrings €80

Modern day heirlooms in ethical gold

These personal favourites will give an edge to any classic Christmas outfit. Earrings are gold plated with a recycled brass core.

6 — Nomasei Strass Sandals €499

Responsible Italian footwear

This shoe doesn’t need much. It shines on its own. Literally and Figuratively. They remind me of my dear friends ‘covered in strass Manola Blahnik’ wedding pumps from years ago, which she’ll probably wear again this festive season. T

7 — Amlul Silver Cropped Cardigan € 160

Sustainable resort collection

Wear this silver shiny top as cropped cardi over a slip dress or as a cropped top.

8 — Nourish Golden Glow Shimmer € 17,95

Vegan and organic skin care

Glow the night away with a subtle golden glow. This shimmer gives you that healthy, radiant sun-kissed glow all year round. Blend with a moisturiser for a no-makeup glow or use on its own as a highlighter for an enhanced shimmer effect. Available in the UK here and in the rest of Europe/The Netherlands here.

9 — SVNR slip dress €370

Hand dyed silk slip dresses

The dreamiest of slip dresses is this midgnight sky silk one. Do you see the stars?

10 — Kamperett headband €1400

made to order bridal wear

Sorry this is not going to be on time since it’s hand made to order and takes 8-10 weeks to deliver, but it's such a stunner. Meant as wedding band, but it could easily double your festive accessory for Christmas 2023.

Here’s the short list of five festive powerhouse dresses.

A vision in shimmering pink.

2 — Silk Velvet Sheer Gardinnia Dress €495

This screams ulitmate seduction. You can wear it with lining though ;-) (model in picture wears it without). Made in limited edition.

3 — Mr Larkin Pink Lexi Dress €430

My ultimate pink lace dream. Made out of deadstock fabric.

4 — Puffy Sleeve Leonara Dress €815

Puffy sleeves galore to make you look like a powerful Greek column
